Project Overview

Studio IOD, one of the many designers who work with Lightcore to ensure the lighting aspects of their projects are done correctly, reached out to Lightcore for help with their Greenvale Fresh project. Greenvale Fresh is a boutique fresh food grocer located at Greenvale Shopping Centre. Lightcore helped Studio IOD refine the layout, provided lux calculations to ensure adequate light levels, developed the product schedule, supplied the lighting, and helped the builder and installing contractors with installation.

Design Vision

Studio IOD wanted Greenvale Fresh to feel less like your typical grocery store with all white and bright lighting and more warm and inviting, as though you were in your mother’s pantry. To achieve this:

A combination of retail track lighting, architectural linear lighting, and directional scoop lighting was used to provide flexible, low-glare, high-lumen illumination throughout the space.
Warm white 3000K lighting was chosen to create the desired warmth while maintaining functionality.

The Lighting Solution

Lightcore developed a LUX-compliant lighting schedule and worked with the designers, builders and installing contractors to ensure the lighting solution was delivered on-time and within budget. The solution included:
